GL Alum Lands Record Deal"
Soap Opera Weekly - November 22, 2005
Bethany Joy Lenz (ex-Michelle Bauer) has inked a deal with recording giant Epic Records. The actress, who currently plays Hayley [sic] James on the WB's One Tree Hill will release her debut album with the company in early 2006.
Lenz's yet-to-be-titled album will contain all original material. Considered a triple-threat for her background in acting, musical theater and songwriting, Lenz has launched two new official web sites. BethanyJoyLenzMusic.com includes updates about her upcoming album as well as an opportunity to join her mailing list. If you sign-up for her mailing list, you will get a chance to listen to three full-length tracks by Lenz. BethanyJoyLenz.com is her official site and includes an online journal and links to her favorite sites.
As previously reported, Lenz is also engaged to be married. The former soap actress went by the name Joie Lenz while on Guiding Light. When she landed the role of Hayley [sic]James on One Tree Hill in 2003, she changed to her birth name Bethany Joy Lenz. Now, with her upcoming nuptials, the starlet will take her husband's last name -- Galeotti. The actress told Soap Opera Weekly that she will also drop the "Joy" at that time. Lenz plans on being Bethany Galeotti by the end of the year.

That's awesome! I'm going to have to check out her music site...I've been to her official one before. That girl is amazingly talented. I loved when she performed Sarah McLachlan's "Elsewhere" on OTH, and I've downloaded a few songs from the show and original songs too. She is really good. I'm definitely going to be buying that CD. She is all-around talent - vocals, musicianship/instruments and songwriting.

I went to the bethanyjoylenzmusic website, and listened to the three songs there. They are really really good! I can't wait to hear more from her! Keep us posted as to when her single and album come out, cause I am definitely buying it. Her style is like a combination of Sarah McLachlan and Sheryl Crow...and it fits her perfectly! I'm going to try to download some more of her old stuff until this new album is out to buy.
