This may change, I find myself rediscovering some songs as I listen to the album again and again lol:

I LOVE the whole album. Every Song on it! However, I don't feel much of a connection to NETY, BUT I think it's a great song for young girls and I love the "Lion King" feel to it. A huge surprise for me was actually liking FC, I was very close with my grandmother and the "holding her fragile hand...." part gets me every time as I used to help her quite a bit getting around the house.

Like everyone else, this is bound to change 100 times in the next few months. But I've listened through the album about 15 times now and its been a week, so I feel I'm not just reacting because I'm OMG HOLY CRAP EXCITED. Even though I am haha.

It feels wrong to rank One Way Ticket so low, but I just love all of the songs above it more! It's crazy how good this album is!!

Here is my ranking as of now...along with some notes :)


1. Two Black Cadillacs (I LOVE this song...it's SO much fun to sing along to)
2. Good Girl (this is one of her strongest songs on the album, her voice is just flawless)
3. See You Again (this melody single-handedly gets stuck in my head more than any song on the album...I also love the lyrics)
4. Wine After Whiskey (such a beautiful ballad...really reminds me of her older stuff in a good way)
5. Blown Away (this song is so dramatic, and I can picture a good video for it!)
6. Thank Go For Hometowns (I think I like this one more than most people. There is something about the way she sings the verses that is just so amazing...it's almost the conversational style ala Martina McBride's "Love's the Only House". This is really a standout for me)
7. One Way Ticket (I'm not too keen on the whistling part, but I can TOTALLY jam to this with the windows rolled down in the summer!)
8. Nobody Ever Told You (I just can't get over the "free as a biiiiird" part. This song has such a feel-good vibe to it....I love it)
9. Leave Love Alone (So rootsy and fun! I love the last chorus A LOT)
10. Cupid's Got a Shotgun (YESS, I love me some country-fried hits! I hope she does more like this)
11. Forever Changed (this one legit made me cry the first time I heard it)
12. Who Are You (her voice is so POWERFUL in this song...it's really great)
13. Do You Think About me (It's cute! But kind of filler material for me...it's a grower for me I think)
14. Good in Goodbye (this is the only one that isn't quite clicking with me yet....)

That was hard! The only one I'm not loving is "Leave Love Alone," but it's already growing on me. I honestly can't say there's a bad song on the album; each has its own distinct placement. I LOVE "Thank God For Hometowns; at first I was surprised it wasn't getting more love, but I've realized it's got a niche of its own. Some people just can't relate to it the way those of us who grew up in small towns can, which is understandable. This album really does have something for everybody. I'm kinda ashamed to say I completely overlooked "Good In Goodbye" the first time I listened to the album; it's one of the best ballads she has ever done. "Who Are You" is also beautiful; I overlooked this one on the first few listens, but Carrie's vocal and passion is amazing here. Her vocals are so refined and pristine on every track; it's hard to believe she has never had any vocal training, because she's learned to work with her voice so well in such a short time.

I can't wait to give BA a proper listen on my Ipod tonight; I honestly don't think this record will ever burnout for me; it's amazing. I've already listened to it at least 10-15 times and I think there's so much variety it feels fresh everytime.
