You guys may have seen this before, but I had not. I was watching the video of Carrie singing Someone To Watch Over Me from the Sinatra show. It's on Vimeo, and I noticed the next video coming up was from SOML, but the video is not from the live show. It's Carrie and Stephen dancing in full costume and then it switches to the part of the show after the kids take the baroness to look at the garden. The lighting is low and the ending is different because Stephen goes upstairs instead of outside, and Carrie finishes with "And I'll sing, once more" instead of stopping before it. The camera angles are different and there are more close-ups, which I really like.

Here's another one, Carrie and the children singing Do Re Mi. It is much louder.

I guess these were done for the commercials before SOML aired.

Laura Benanti had her baby girl yesterday on Valentine's Day. Her first child (she's tried before but suffered a miscarriage).

NBC is presenting Jesus Christ Superstar for Easter 2018. I saw the stage version 2 years ago. It was fantastic!

if he wasn't older now I'd say they need to cast Ted Neeley.I saw him twice in the role and he was amazing!
Got to meet him too, wonderful man. This is a great choice.I love the show.

It was Ted Neeley in the version I saw. He sounded like he hadn't aged a bit. Remarkable.

Is this in addition to Bye Bye Birdie or is Superstar the only musical happening? Did I miss a JLo BBB announcement?

My daughter's dance recital was this weekend and there was a Sound of Music number. It was quite a long number, using multiple songs. My husband just shook his head at me, because as soon as the title song started playing I whispered to him that they were using Carrie's version, lol! The number also included her version (only her verse, not Audra's) of My Favorite Things, Maria, Sixteen going on Seventeen, So Long Farewell, and another song I can't remember off the top of my head, but I think it was an instrumental.

Craig Zadan just tweeted that A Few Good Men is coming in 2018. From a previous tweet of his, a few months ago, it seems they were waiting to get the right cast. Perhaps one of the actors they wanted was tied up with another project.

Did anyone watch Dirty Dancing last night? I recorded it. I realize it's a tv movie remake and not the live musical version, but just wondered if it was worth watching. I'm guessing it might not be. I love Dirty Dancing, but I'd probably be better off watching the original, lol. I was too young to see DD when it was originally in theaters, but a bunch of my friends and I went to see it in theaters in January for the 30th anniversary. There's just something about watching a movie like that, which you have seen a hundred times, lol. It's one that never gets old for me, though.

^ the reviews/reaction I've seen haven't been good.But I didn't see it, was watching Survivor finale.

Posted by Craig, due to JLo's extremely busy schedule Bye Bye Birdie is pushed to 2018. Since there will be no NBC holiday live musical this year, maybe they could rerun SOML this December?
