Loretta Lynn ft Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood - Still Woman Enough

As soon as I saw Margo was on the album with Carrie I thought back to it too. So rude and unprofessional to like negativity about a fellow artist when there is literally no basis to do so. I doubt Margo has even met Carrie, lol.

ETA: the tweet was "WHY DOES EVERYONE LIKE CARRIE UNDERWOOD
BECAUSE UNPOPULAR OPINION I DO NOT"

I don’t think Margo has ever met Carrie at all so I don’t get what her basis would be for disliking her so much.I don’t understand why she would like a comment with no basis or reasoning on why she would like that tweet.

Yeah, that's quite rude. Never really cared for Margo, though, she sort of seems to have an air about her, as if she's better than others. I have no proof of that, but just what it seems like.

Well, we won't ever find out, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Margo was probably reacting to not liking Carrie's style of music. She's more of a traditionalist. That doesn't excuse it or make it less rude. I'll admit ever since then I've kind of felt the same as Adam about her. She strikes me as in the 'my style is inherently and morally better than yours' camp.

Part of me wanted to respond to her tweet about the album by calling her on it but decided it would be pointless and just as rude. Let's take the high road and just forget about it.

Agree and I'm not sure why. I've seen her at the Opry and she was easily the worst act I've ever seen on that stage.

Re posting this in this thread:

=D ----

I am loving this album already with the song Coal Miner's Daughter (recitation), the song tracks and the musicians on it. I was iffy about the lead song off Still Woman Enough usually I always like Loretta's stuff when she releases things the last time this happened was her album Wouldn't It Be Great.

Moving on I was surprised about this album by Loretta because I thought Loretta stopped making music. I am glad Still Woman Enough is a little bit of country-pop album because I want to hear a different side of Loretta in music genre.

Come on be March 19th for Still Woman Enough to come out.

I think we can be assured this album won't have any bit of pop on it. Loretta has never done that before. What makes you say it will be country-pop? Did Loretta say that?

Loretta didn’t say it. I said this because Carrie is on it. I consider Carrie country - pop because of her song Before He Cheats.

I don't think because Carrie is on one third of a song that makes the album or even the song country pop. When Carrie did "You're Lookin' At Country" for Loretta's tribute album it wasn't the slightest bit pop. This will be a country as country can get song, I bet.

Loretta Lynn will release her 50th studio album, Still Woman Enough, on March 19. The record includes collaborations with Tanya Tucker, Margo Price, and Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood, who together join Lynn for the fiery title track.
“I came up with that title years ago,” Lynn tells Sounds Like Nashville. “It’s the title of my 2002 autobiography, co-written by my daughter, Patsy, but I just couldn’t write the song. Patsy and I were going through old song ideas and that one title just stood out to her. She wrote a really great chorus and I started writing the verses.”

It wasn’t long after Lynn started writing the song that she knew she wanted to recruit McEntire to sing on it with her.

“As soon as I had the first verse, I told Patsy, ‘I’m going to get Reba to sing this with me’ and shoot, having Carrie was a big treat for us,” Lynn boasts. “I loved what they’ve added to the song. We are girlfriends singing about being strong women.”

I guess I never quite put the pieces together but has it been officially revealed that this is what Carrie and Reba were working on in the studio that one day with their “secret legends project”?? Or did we already know about the Loretta album at that point?

This was the legacy project. The person who posted the picture is the producer of the Loretta album

When the picture was released, we did not know what it was for. Loretta then announced her album a few months after and the track list and we realized what it was.
