Carrie's Twitter & Instagram

We went from 38 MILLION flu cases in the 2019-2020 season, to 2 THOUSAND this season. The fact that no one is asking more questions about this is truly baffling. And don't give me "people were wearing masks, so cases of the flu are down" line. Mask wearing would not decrease cases by THAT much. It seems more like the COVID tests are not able to differentiate between COVID and the flu. You don't need to be a scientist or have a medical degree to use common sense. The numbers just don't add up for me. Sorry if I don't believe everything that our corrupt media, government, and yes, pharmaceutical/medical industry tells us.

Good for Carrie. I love that she hasn't apologized and I hope it stays that way. NEVER cave to the mob. They have a very short memory span anyway. In a few days they'll forget all about this and move on to the next thing to throw a hissy fit over.
You’re kind of proving the point your arguing against here…. The reason Flu was down was because all of the Covid measures work when implemented and followed correctly. Masks and social distancing work.

They crazy thing is there is currently a country being overrun by terrorists because of our botched exit. That should be the only news, not Carrie liking one tweet that is pretty inoffensive in the grand scheme of things.
In fairness the only news covering this 'controversy' are a few entertainment sites, certainly no hard news organizations. Twitter is toxic in many ways. A few months ago people were mad Carrie associated with John Legend now its liking a tweet. There are still people out there incensed that she doesn't eat meat or play rodeos or are still fuming about the Obamacare by Morning joke. Nobody can ever please everybody. She's not going to address any of it because there's no point and she can't win.

She sent a nice tweet to a kids softball team from Oklahoma. Moving on.

No, it seems like my post went totally over your head. I said that regardless of mask-wearing, it seems highly unlikely that cases could drop so significantly from 38 MILLION to a mere 2 THOUSAND. Does that even sound realistic?

I fully believe that people with the flu are being told they have COVID and that’s why the number of cases is so high. I mean, when you go to the doctor now they don’t even swab you for the flu anymore. It’s just COVID testing.

People need to start using their brains and asking more questions. Blindly believing everything Dr. Fauci says does not make you morally superior and more intelligent than everyone else. There are people in high positions of power who do not have your best interest in mind.

Regardless of what your option is on the masking of children, this isn’t looking too good for Carrie right now. For someone who’s made it very a clear mission to remain non-political, she chose the wrong topic to comment or “like” on. I had a feeling that Mikes Twitter activity would eventually bite Carrie in the butt, but never thought Carrie would do it to herself. I still love her and hopefully she will make some sort of statement, but idk this will he tough for her.

But COVID continued to rise in the same time flu plummeted? That doesn't seem likely, even if this is a novel virus.

What looks so bad for her? There's a few angry non-fans. That happens at least once a year it seems.

So true... And sadly adding a covid diagnosis to the treatment, they are getting a higher percentage of reimbursement for.....

And Dr. Fauci is just that, highest paid person in power. He needs to go, he is not following science, let alone lying to the American people..

Why is everyone so worried about this? Trolls on Twitter are not productive members of society and do not represent general consensus. They are not the people buying Carrie’s albums and concert tickets. They are not Country music fans. I can’t believe liking some Tweet is even an issue. People have gone completely insane.

It’s not even trolls at this point. Political figures, musicians, and news outlets are all running the story. The fact that someone already referred to her as a “patriot” is the most obnoxious thing.

You are spreading misinformation during a global pandemic that is killing people every day. This is inexcusable and your post should be deleted by moderators. Dr. Fauci is a public health expert and I'm guessing you are NOT. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is a reputable agency and Carrie Fans is not a platform for your conspiracy theories.

If the situation is in fact that her husband occasionally uses her Twitter account after the deactivation of his own, then he is an absolute d-bag for liking and following anything spouting any type of propaganda that is currently being weaponized to gain political advantage during this critical time of social division and unrest in the U.S.A. I'm sure that she will never confirm or deny this either way.

I'm also sure that's not the case. Why would he? He has his own instagram, why would he use her twitter, when he could just start his account again?

I'm just having a real hard time grasping why someone that's worked so hard over the past decade and a half to both cultivate and maintain a relatively low-profile and unproblematic stance on the most hard-hitting issues and controversial topics in the public arena, would all of a sudden choose to just throw caution to the wind and bust open Pandora's Box to views and ideas that could prove especially damaging to them during this time. Why NOW, in the wake of a global pandemic that has killed millions of people, with Hollywood being more radically liberal than ever before, and with "Cancel Culture" in full swing and ready to target anyone and everyone that doesn't subscribe to the full macrocosm of ideas and ideologies that affords a nominal public certificate of being "Woke"??? The timing is just all off, and I refuse to believe that she picked now, of all times, to make these types of views public, if she indeed has them at all.

I think the way you're thinking is why these kinds of things blow up and cause drama (I'm not calling you out or anything, it could be completely by accident). There's no real reason to worry about it. People are too concerned about what other people believe and like. It's not our business or concern. We know Carrie is a phenomenal human being. Not wanting a mask on her kid all day at school does not make her a bad person. There is plenty of science that supports and refutes everyone's positions, so it's a confusing and not settled position, plus the constant back and forth from so-called experts hasn't helped. We just need to be comfortable again, as a society to allow people to think what they want and let them live life their life without fear of constant backlash. Unfortunately, that's not where we are, but maybe if more people don't care how overly emotional tweeters react to everything we'll get back there.

I agree with all of that, but as you know, most people these days have very quick trigger-fingers when it comes to any viewpoint that they oppose, which leads to their taking wild leaps in logical reasoning, and making ungainly assumptions about individuals that formally become the "enemy" at that precise moment. I just think that adopting this kind of position publicly is like playing Russian Roulette at this point in time. Look at how people are reacting. Acting like if she espouses anti-mask propaganda (only with regard to CHILDREN, and on school grounds, as far as we know), that means she must conform to ALL traditionally conservative-Republican ideas and values, including that of intolerance to historically marginalized groups in American society? She has to know how narrow-minded, overly-simplistic, and black-and-white in their thinking the vast majority of the public is. But, unfortunately that's how they're being groomed and conditioned to be these days. It's all-or-nothing. No room for nuance or any shades of gray; It's simply "this" or it's "that." Such embarrassing times.
