Ghost Story chart updates

Losing spins two days in a row? What’s going on?
It’s just a natural climb. The good sign is gaining 150K. When a song gains audience and loses spins, it means it isn’t getting any overnight airplay (bad time for airplay) (gain spins , lose audience). It’s just a natural climb to the top. Some of the recent 2 week #1s or even Combs songs in the past have days like this. But it gained audience which is a very good sign. Also there’s a big log jam the last few weeks

^ McGraw is pushing next week then will fall, , McCreery is pushing the next week and then will fall, Wallen will finally fall after this week (slowly), Morris is still hanging by a thread ( and could go recurrent on Billboard this week),so there will be some movement over the next month. GS just needs to keep chugging on.

that's on mediabase, on Billboard there are at least three songs that aren't going nowhere anytime soon ( Aldean, Wallen, Parmalee)- all multi week #1's.BB needs to change it's recurrent rules.

One almost wonders if UMG is holding GS back for Pardi who is at #10, considering these are tiny tiny loss updates (if it was struggling they’d be huge), and last week and weeks prior it was doing so well.

Of course it could just be this major traffic jam. I see a few songs in the top ten having similar results, one song even lost the bullet for a few days earlier this week.

I'm not all that worried. Usually there is a slow up upon entering the top 10. I wish it would hurry up and show up on the official Friday Callouts so we can know exactly how the callouts look. Right now we're having to refer to the Monday Morning Intel, which usually is similar to the official Friday Callouts, but can differ sometimes.

To me it does look like UMG has it in a holding pattern again to help another male label mate first. Seems like don’t did that too so no surprise there. lol The men always get priority.

Combs will probably past GS this week… but good. It’s already happened on billboard and we need him to pass GS, hurry up and peak so he doesn’t cause any trouble when it’s GS’ time for the top.

Agreed. The faster that one can get up, go #1, and get out of the way, the better. Also, starting to look at Cole Swindell's song, as radio seems to be sending it up the chart relatively quickly.

I’m really hoping Combs gets out the way fast, which I think it might.

but I don’t think the latter is a worry mainly just because I see him getting stuck in the 15-10 log jam like most people do. Seems only people like combs can get out of that, but even if not I don’t see it being a problem ‘cause I feel like for most cases everyone gets their week at the top nowadays if the song deserves it & is a legitimate hit like GS is. But maybe I’m wrong, lol. I’m already losing sleep about it 😂

GS falls to #15 on Billboard this week as it is passed by "Truth About You".

There's a major backlog on Billboard as well with every song from #13-#4 either staying in the same spot week to week or there is a couple instances where one song passes another up. In other words, no songs are exiting the chart so that's the reason for very little movement. Nonetheless, I hope GS can re-pass "Truth About You" soon, but it's not some major hit or anything so I'm not worried about it.

Hoping for a good week of updates this week so GS can maybe pass up some songs in the coming weeks on Billboard to make up for the major backlog!

I actually love Truth About You. My local radio stations play the hell out that song.
