^ unfortunately they see all Carrie's done and think lets vote for Combs or Lambert they drink on stage!!
As combs said himself, he is the biggest star in the genre (not even true). So of course he’s going to get the win. (Imagine if Carrie proclaimed herself that!, it would be a huge controversy)

Yeah somehow when he says it everyone agrees.

And since he's announced his world tour, he's just making sure that he gets all the votes.

Carrie should ´ve won btw 2006 and 2016 a few times. So everybody in country music should be agree if Carrie will win. It´s joke that Carrie hasn´t won Enterteiner of the year yet. There are many actors who have won an Oscar for their career rather than for their role in that film. It's ridiculous that Carrie hasn't won it yet, simply because of her amazing career they should have given it to her for a few years.

I’ve been following Carrie since 2004 and remember when she did the variety special along with touring which should have won her the EOTY award. We all know the year she starred in Soul Surfer and toured which should have won her EOTY. Also, need we forget the records she set with TSOM and touring that should have won her the EOTY award. Of course, I focused on the extra things she did without including giving back, collaborations, Opry appearances, CMA co-hosting, SNF, and much more! We all know she has done more than enough to win but sadly she doesn’t have a p***s and came from a reality television show.

Also, I do think jealousy from her female peers plays into this as well. I understand that has dissipated over the years but was very real at first.

Jimmie posted about Carly Pearce’s and Lainey Wilson’s nominations BUT NOT Carrie’s nominations… umm who is taking you out on tour???

Before the high and mighty attack my post, this is more of a funny observation than being upset over it. It doesn’t make you think 🤔

No one attack me for saying this, but I don’t say Jimmie is a huge Carrie music fan or anything like that. Doesn’t seem like any of the new artists really support any of the icons , they just support their fellow newer generation , like they all seem to be friends with each other so it’s probably because of that. I think he will just be working with Carrie like on this tour

That's really a shame. They could learn a thing or two from the icons

I agree there is a lot of comradery among the new generation. However, I also see many respecting icons/legends which Carrie is definitely qualifies to be in this category. Kelsea, Mickey, Maddie & Tae, and Lauren highly praise her.

I’m just noticing this is all. It’s not like he owes her anything for going on tour together.

Right , that’s why I said they’re just working together

really only the new women praise Carrie, though. The new men don’t

I mean… have the men ever really praise the women with the exception of a few?
Really no sadly. It’s almost gotten to the point where they don’t even seem to be one big group anymore when country music used to pride itself on the whole industry / artists / etc being one big family. Maybe they did more in Carrie’s “new artist” generation? Idk though. I know Carrie said a few years back she would love to be a cheerleader for her peers if they would do the same. Of course even in the newer generation of women there are some who don’t say much about Carrie too

When did she say that? I don’t recall that.

^ doesn't sound like something Carrie would say

Right. She often avoids controversy and THIS would have been covered by ALL gossip sites everywhere!
She did say this. It was a tweet. It was about the men of country music not being a cheerleader for their peers. She used the word cheerleader I think. It was about 2-3 years ago, and I am sure you could find it (I’ll look) or others remember it

Why would newer artists have to support older ones? They don't need to be boosted. I think the newer generation supporting and "cheerleading" their peers (as in those they are rising with) is really nice and what should happen. These new artists have time and again praised the older generations, because they are their influences.

Someone like Jimmie Allen doesn't have to go to bat for Carrie, because she doesn't need that. She's on another level. Plus, pretty sure Jimmie was pretty complimentary of her when he was announced as her opener.

Also, saw from a post from American Country Music Chatter, or whatever its called that this is Carrie's 4th consecutive EOTY nomination and that the last time a woman did that was Reba in '91-'95 for 5 consecutive nods. Legends.
