Grammys tend to have a very hot and cold relationship with Carrie. Will award her something one year and then - you can almost bet on it - will give her 0 noms the next.

Sad that the Grammys are no longer about the vocal elite….

is this the best they can do…. Seriously. Or is this now part of WME….

Guess I'm the only one who wasn't expecting any nominations for Carrie, and I'm very ok with it. I mean, not the most successful first single, not great sales, not great charts, not even critic's album reviews...

For me personally it’s not as big of a fact that she didn’t get a nomination (as the only one I thought she could get was solo performance), it’s what DID get a nomination over her.
I love Kelsea to pieces but “Heartfirst” for a Grammy? That’d be like them nominating “Southbound.”

Kelsea's song peaked at 20 on mediabase, 22 on Billboard now that is not successful.Yet she's nominated.
I wasn't really excepting noms for Carrie but I at least thought they'd nominated someone worthy.

Exactly this. Like, I'm sorry, what? Kelsea could have gotten a nom for "half of my hometown" or even "i quit drinking", but a generic pop bop? As you said, this would be like "southbound" getting nominated - which I am sure we all would be perplexed about as well.

Also "Circles around this town" (x2)? That one especially boggles my mind as she sounded like a robot at parts of it

I personally would have preferred a country nom/win over the My Savior win, but it is what it is.

I still think that the Cry Pretty album deserved a Grammy. Denim & Rhinestones is a great album, but I guess it's not Grammy material. I don't know anymore. Does anyone think she at least has a shot for the AMA award?

AMA's are going to be dependent on how big of a turnout she had for voting via the website. TS had her beat on Twitter with votes, so it's going to rely on the website. Any other year she'd easily have both in the bag, but for whatever reason they nominated TS in both pop and country for the same things.

Guys we already know that Carrie wasn´t be nominated for any categorie this year. Grammys only respect Carrie as vocalist. So If Carrie would realase another killer powergouse vocal singer like SITW,BW, Just a Dream, she would be nominated again in vocal performance.
But in mad and tired that any awards, Grammys, CMAs, ACMs respect Carrie´s albums!. BA should´ve won "best country album" on grammys and of course the nomination. Ans also, an AOTY nomination. So the only expectation we should have is another grammy for vocal performance when se has another powerhouse vocal single.

And yeah the nominees are a joke, I mean where´s Morgan Wallen nominations?.....or why grammys didnt nominated Gabby Barret last year?. I know that in the past years Grammys nominated "the famous one´s or the best sellings songs" but sometimes the nominees are a joke.
