The biggest-selling female rock artist of all-time, the Canadian-American pop-rocker multi-time Grammy winner Alanis Morissette, is releasing a new album in 8 years in 2020, titled Such Pretty Forks in the Road. The album will be released on May Day/Labour Day, 1 May 2020.

This will be her first album since 2012's Havoc and Bright Lights, her last full-length album which hit No 1 on the United World Chart, at the time breaking the record of lowest-selling No 1 album in the chart's history. The record also occupied the penthouse in Australia, Canada, and Switzerland. That album produced two hits, the No 11-peaking lead "Guardian" and the Top 40 single "Receive", it has an additional single "Lens". The bonus track "Big Sur" also received a music video.

"Magical Child" (officially, commercial) on Every Mother Counts - a song to commemorate the first birth of her first son
"Ego", "Jekyll and Hyde" (released also as a bonus track on Havoc and Bright Lights), "Tools of Divine", "Whatever Nice Is" on her husband's album Iron Horse Running (Souleye).
"Today", a charity single released in support of the fated congressional campaign of the independent Marianne Williamson, a best-selling author and founder of Project Angel Food and the Peace Alliance.
"This Morning", a charity single and theme song to the documentary A Small Section of the World, a film about strong and independent coffee-producing women in the Latin American nation Costa Rica.
Her last international hit was the aforementioned "Guardian" (2012), which peaked at No 11 in Australia, No 12 in Switzerland, No 13 in Germany, and No 37 in Belgium.
Her last chart entry on the United World Chart was the Seal cover "Crazy" (2005), the promotional single for her compilation The Collection, and was included in the blockbuster The Devil Wears Prada. It peaked inside the Top 40 on the UWC, and No 20 in Australia.
