When I got GIMP I was playing around with it and found out how I could blend 2 pics together then I really wanted to know how to make a wallpaper so I just clicked 'new' and I got to make it as big as I wanted it to be and I put a background color on it to make it look pretty and then I was like so happy cuz' it looked so pretty!
