Yeahh, she was known for her effortless high notes within the first half-decade of her career. I think her vocal peak was the "Play On" era. Her vocals were crazy on that tour. But unfortunately her method/technique of getting there wasn't very sustainable, even though it seemed very easy for her at the time. Without getting too much into the extreme technical end of it, I'll just say that she uses an approach that makes it harder on the vocal folds than it needs to be, which causes tension to build up over time and makes it increasingly more difficult with age.
