^Yea, it’s crazy how this is releasing shortly after CP’s release. I’m not gonna buy any, but just wanted to share.

^I noticed that too. I think Britney Spears had a Gold series, too, but I’m not sure if was Australia import or not.

Just looked up the Britney Spears Gold series - That was Sony Australia, too. Looks like it just benefits Sony and not the artists. Sad.

Update: Upon looking at the Britney Spears ones, sounds like the CD is “gold” and the albums have some bonus tracks.

Carrie left her music with Sony (and they expressed surprise she did that). Did Brittany give up her music to Sony, also?

Britney was with Jive Records for the longest time (which I think is the equivalent of Sony). She's now with Legacy Records, according to Wikipedia. Hopefully, Carrie gets some profit off of these "gold" series.
