For me Carrie has changed in a more maturing fashion as opposed to just notes and range.
Like a seasoned soup or wine grows deeper with time. So has Carries voice. I see it on songs like TBC. There is so much charactor development in her delievery now.
I feel it is based on the fact that she has been using her voice for the last 7 years like a trained athlete uses their body.
The more you push it to change and be diverse. The more diverse it becomes.
Of course you have to be born with the natural talent and vocal ability in the first place.
And Carrie is very blessed with her natural talent and ablitity.
