Carrie's Streaming Numbers

Christmas music is different game over traditional albums. It's just a different niche that appeals across all genres. So she was also able to reach a completely different audience during that time. The same way My Gift comes back every year and sells well during the holiday season. If I remember correctly those two peaked the week of Christmas when the holiday season was at it's peak.
I guess I am just wondering, how did the public all know about her Christmas music though? Was there a different type of promo? Was it put in more playlists on Spotify?

I do think that the playlisting was better. I know at least on Apple Music that she's in a good amount of Playlists that reach outside of the country audience, and have higher amounts of listeners than just regular country playlists.

Interesting! My takeaways are that HMH is picking up in streaming very nicely, so maybe it will also pick up on radio. Also CA is definitely the streaming hit here. SDK is on playlists and not on these charts

I always wish that more tv shows would use Carrie's music in them. So many songs I love I found from TV and sometimes a song goes viral from being in a hit tv show and smashes. I think that could help people get to know Carrie's music more.

And the Morgan Wallen reign begins. Probably will be #1 country album on BB for the next 3 years.
He really knows how to play the game. And people are saying that it's the best.

I understand that not everyone has to like Carrie but to see all of the male writers fall all over themselves to praise MW, I have lost all hope in them ever voting for Carrie for anything.

Morgan is on a very small label though, and that is always a disadvantage. I could honestly seeing Carrie winning EOTY this year by a split vote between Wallen and Combs. I'm not holding my breath, but I still think it's possible.

Out of That Truck debuts with 214,727 on Spotify yesterday. In comparison:

Ghost Story - 301k
Pink Champagne - 180k
Denim & Rhinestones - 128k
She Don’t Know - 107k
Crazy Angels - 98k
Rest of D&R Tracks - 35-55k
I accounted for at least 10K of those streams!

but that does seem really good especially since GS had a clear channel deal to promote it all day. If this holds up it is clear this will be Carrie’s long awaited streaming hit and a future radio hit

Carrie's hit 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Makes sense as Spotify continues to grow, but I believe this is a first for her.

Also it's crazy to see Out of That Truck at 2 million streams, which isn't a ton but is already more than all the non-promo songs off of D&R despite just being released a few weeks ago.

And The Champion has crossed 100 million streams. IIDLY must have done the same in the past month or so.

Crazy to see OOTT, a non-single, at #6 on the Hot Country playlist this week. HMH nowhere to be seen. I'm not complaining about the aggressive play listing at all--I'm happy to see it--but interesting to see OOTT being prioritized over HMH.

Maybe Carrie is setting the new trend…one single for radio and one single for steaming! haha
