Carrie basically has never had a relationship with pop radio, so I don't see why they would start heavily playing her 15/16 years into her career and 35/36 years into her life. Pop seems to throw people away after a certain age just as fast if not faster than country.

^sometimes a tiny part of me wishes Carrie would push herself more towards pop (I’ll support her in whatever direction she goes and would like her to get more industry respect), but I feel like it might end up making people claim even more that she’s not country. There are already so many people who won’t get rid of that mentality. I think a big part of End Up With You’s success is the flirty, fun, easy to sing along with vibe that appeals to a much younger demographic.

On Carrie's most popular song section on Spotify, Southbound surpassed Church Bells to become her second most popular song at the moment which actually surprised me. It seems like this song is getting more streams, probably because of the warmer weather.

Thanks so much for the updates! I was wondering if Someday When I Stop Loving You was going to get streamed a bit more than usual. Considering the fact that TBC is in her biggest weekly gain for streams this week, hopefully that will reach 2x multi-platinum relatively soon. I’m not sure how close it is at the moment.

^ TBC is very close, to the point where I’m surprised it wasn’t certified when they updated her singles a few months ago. Next round of certifications I look for GG, LTG, TBC, SITW, & maybe even Church Bells all to get bumped up to their next certification level. Maybe some more songs as well but I feel for sure about those.

Some songs like Little Toy Guns should be super close at this point. That one hasn’t been updated since 2015. Hopefully in the next round of certifications the songs you listed should be updated.

Well I read somewhere that Spotify has more or less 40% market share as to streaming services so maybe we can just multiply her Spotify numbers by 250% then it would give as her total numbers across streaming providers and also good to note that Amazon and Apple is bigger in US where Carrie's number mostly came from.

Just curious does anyone know how close Storyteller is to 2X Platinum? I noticed the Blown Away album got certified 3X Platinum with about 1,850,000 pure sales which means the remaining came from streaming. Since Storyteller has around 800,000 in pure sales and streamed even better than Blown Away, wouldn’t it be nearing 2X platinum?

I was wondering the same thing too. Fingers crossed in the next round of certifications the album will get bumped up too with the next round of singles. I’m not sure how frequently they’re updated, but it’s been over three months since the last time a lot were updated.

"Drinking Alone" has finally been added to the biggest country playlist on Spotify, "Hot Hit Country". Hopefully, we should see an increase in term of streams.

Both Drinking Alone and Southbound are on this playlist called Country Drive for Spotify. I’m assuming this is fairly recent because of Drinking Alone recently being added to the Hot Country playlist which is a big one. I know The Champion is on another pretty big country playlist as well on Spotify. That type stuff definitely helps her streams.
