Carrie Underwood had a good sales week last week. According to Nielsen SoundScan, weekly sales for her Blown Away album spiked 23%, while sales of her debut album, Some Hearts, jumped 38%.

It is good to see that digital sales for SH made up 29% of total sales last week. It would be amazing if mp3 sales for SH (and CR) continues to rise so that eventually the next level of platinum certification will be reached.

I'm a bit confused: Hits daily double has the song #50 on Billboard selling 6805 yet this reports Kelly's Stronger at #55 on Billboard with 7000?

Stronger will be a year old in a couple of months, Blown Away is 3 months old...I know Carrie's fast but even she needs a little more time . Had BA been released in Nov. it would already be over 1.5M.

Could be that Brian rounds up or down, so it's possible that Stronger sold 6500+ and he rounded up to 7000 perhaps that's the explanation...

Brian definitely rounds the numbers. Also, HITS is an excellent estimate whereas Neilsen Soundscan is official sales data.
