The Daily Beast has posted a pretty juicy snippet from Richard Rushfield's new book out today, American Idol: The Untold Story. In the snippet, Rushfield reports that Fox was prepared to pay Simon Cowell $130 million a year for a deal where he would stay on American Idol while launching US X Factor.
Cowell, however, rejected that offer and is now solely focused on bringing X Factor to the US this fall.
