Rosetta Stone

Has anyone here used Rosetta Stone? How useful is it? I want to learn German for my senior project is why I ask

I have used it! I found it very helpful and I can now speak 2 new languages. I can tell you that the program uses "pattern recognition". The program shows you a picture and then the word is spoken. It of course builds on to phrases and then to actual sentences.
