Jake Owen will be her co-host on this new venture, to be called "Real Country". It will be televised on the USA Network
As I understand it, there will be eight segments, each focusing on a different Country Music style or sub-genre. The winners will then progress to a grand final
Shania says "I'm on a mission to find artists who will keep country music diverse and dynamic. The kind of diversity that inspired all of us."
Although I can't see it getting international exposure, the format intrigues me. I would like to see another talent show devoted specifically to Country, and one which looks at a wider range, beyond the Mainstream radio format would be especially welcome.

Incidentally, I should think most fans would be unaware that a Country Music talent show already exists in Ireland. It's called Glór Tíre (Country Voice), and broadcasts in Gaelige, with English subtitles. It's on the Public Service channel, TG4, and gets an audience of around 100,000. Outside Ireland, it can be streamed on-line, at this site:
