As someone who has spent my life working in education (as have other members of my family), I felt a particular connection to this issue. (It was first drawn to my notice by someone in a different artist's fan base, and I didn't want to rush into anything that might be heavily immersed in the party politics of another country - but I'm glad to see that it transcends partisan positions, and is being taken up by many on a cross-party basis). I'm particularly pleased that Carrie and her sisters have taken it up.

(I only knew of Heavener because of the alleged Runestone - there are several of these artefacts, all controversial, and this one is a long way from the proven Norse settlements in Newfoundland. I think the stone has its own park and small museum exhibit - but I'd love to see the small school district, and others like it, get some more attention from the State authorities)
