I noticed on the Blackbird Studios website that they include "Some Hearts" as an example of work created, at least in part, at the studio. Very interesting! I wonder if it was mixing, vocals, or a combo of other finishing touches...

Martina McBride recorded many of her albums at Blackbird. In fact, I remember her giving Robin Roberts a grand tour of the studio when Robin did her Country Music special.

She answered the question. Soon soon..lol

“I’m always always working on something. Obviously, we can’t spill too many beans right now, but my fans know what I mean when I say, ‘Soon… soon,'” she says with a laugh. “They actually hate it when I use that word because they’re like ‘What does that mean?’ but it’s been busy for sure.”

So, no real update, lol. Just the standard soon. Hopefully, that means this year though.

The residency's current end is May correct? I wonder if we get a lead single after that, and an album following in the summer or early Fall. She may want to incorporate the new music into the residency but wouldn't want to change large portions of the show right now. I imagine she'll continue the residency into next year and beyond, and she can update it then.

“Poor everybody else” and “sunrise” just strike me as some beautiful ballads led by Carrie’s amazing vocals & I REALLY hope they make the cut!

Here we go...This, combined with the "soon...soon" comment, is very good news. We're getting new music this year, friends!

I think this is the first time she has worked with Greg Kurstin. This could suggest a more country-pop direction with the album, which I am fine with! For more info on Greg, here's his Wikipedia bio: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Kurstin.
David Garcia and now Greg K… these are huge names and they’ve both got a very impressive resume. I think I’m excited. Carrie’s always had a semi country pop sound, with Cry Pretty being borderline full pop, so if she tones it down to a more organic pop sound like Greg has done before I think all fans will be happy
