Miranda Lambert calls out group of women taking selfie

Sure, they could have taken photos after the show or before the show. I have to agree with the fans who paid a good amount of money to be there. This will all fizzle out soon. I am kind of annoyed that Carrie fans on Twitter are trying to create something that doesn’t need to be there.

Kind of agree with Miranda since it was during Tin Man, which is a really stripped back, heartfelt song. Those women were probably distracting people around them, as I saw other videos that they were really just taking pictures the whole time and not really being present for the show. To do that during a song like Tin Man where Miranda is pouring her heart out on stage is kind of disrespectful.

HOWEVER

I do think Miranda could have addressed the issue a lot nicer, without making her look like she has mean girl energy.

Miranda said it with a laugh and smile too, so clearly she wasn't as pissed as people are making it to be. People just need clout these days.

diva behavior.
those women paid their hard earned money and taking 10 seconds to take a selfie wasn't hurting anyone. Next time someone in the middle of the row gets up to get a drink will she stop the show and whine? She was rude in the extreme.

She does things like this all the time doesn't she? I don't know why her fans love to be treated like that.. lol

Yes, she was singing that song but it is vegas and there are a lot of tourists that probably don't even know that song or what it mean to her, you would think that she have to know that after so many years touring.

Don't matter how hard you try to make an excuse, doing that to people who paid a lot to see you it's horrible but it is expected coming from her saddly.

Pretty sure the countless news outlets that have posted the story have done way more than any Carrie fans on Twitter have done

I won't contribute to the Twitter threads but I agree with Maddkat, pure diva behavior. This is Vegas and you probably don't get diehard fans. I saw many Carrie fans posting the video of Carrie taking a selfie while singing.

I would have been thoroughly stunned and embarrassed if I were called out like that...all because I wanted a selfie from a concert I paid the big bucks to attend? I love me some Miranda but had that happened to me I would likely not be purchasing new music from her. That's just me though.

This seems like such an unforced error. It's just not a good look - even if the fans were being rude. I think stars should always remember that they are in an enviable position if someone pays to come to their show and they care enough to want to document it with a photo. Show business is a business, for goodness sake. We should not alienate the fans that make the commercial success possible. Yes, music is an art - but it's not sustainable if the artist can't pay the bills. Miranda can pay the bills forever, thanks to long-time fan support. I hope she hasn't forgotten the reason for her privilege.

I think Miranda was in the right, but the approach could have been different I guess. I remeber I saw Carrie open the Hard Rock Casino in AC, and I had good seats, but there were so many people there that clearly weren’t fans. It was super distracting because they were blocking the stage, talking, and just being annoying. So I can imagine it’s probably similar in Vegas. People are there as perk to something rather than going cuz they are fans. She’s singing a personal song and those ladies clearly aren’t there to listen to Miranda. They are there to brag about their front row experience. It’s just disappointing and I understand why she would feel the way she is

^ Pretty sure it was like a total of 30 seconds and they were taking a pic with Miranda in the background (positioned between them) so I would think they wanted to be there lol plus they paid for those tickets

I think Miranda was 100% in the wrong here. I don’t see any valid excuses at all…it’s probably why she hasn’t said anything about it…it would only make things worse.

Regardless of how long it was, it was still disrespectful to the artist. She’s performing a personal song. Miranda’s frustration is that these people are not being present with her. When I’m at a concert, I’m paying attention and singing along, not taking a selfie with my friends for the sole purpose of bragging on social media…should be saved for prior to the start of the show

Also, just because you paid, doesn’t make you a fan. I’ve gone to shows for artists I don’t know well because my friends want me to go. Maybe the tickets were given as a gift. Who knows

I saw her open for Kenny a few years ago and it was a month after she released Vice. She made a similar comment to the crowd, asking them to sit and really just listen to the words of the song. She’s a storyteller and deserves the respect and attention of the audience.
