Health Care Mandatory tax

As I see it two of the major problems with healthcare haven't been addressed . The rising cost of medical services and the rising cost of medicaid/ There are 30 million people currently in the US with out health insurance, the adult population in the US is 228 million, and the 30 million includes children. Do you think the let's say 20 million adults in that 30 million who will pay are going to make a dent for the 228 million current payees? When those 30 million are able to get these services that are rising in cost all the time it's still going to mean more people using and not paying enough - therefore the cost of your current healthcare policies are going to go up not down and those that haven't been able to afford it are going to be even poorer than they are now or may lose their homes as many are just on the edge of financial ruin, that includes college graduates with huge loans to payoff or larger families or where one out of two has lost a job. Apparently there is going to be an out for hardship cases however those cases may end up with no health insurance if their incomes are above Medicaid eligiblity. So not everyone will be covered. The other question I have - another tax being administered by the Federal government where they can raid the funds like they do with Social Security? It would be great if I'm wrong and it turns out everyone gets healthcare and those with current policies see their costs stabilize and it's affordable for those who can't afford it. I guess since it's a go we will have to wait and see what happens.

It's truly amazing that this was a Republican effort from the very beginning. They were all for it, up until the point where Obama got involved & then of course it was a bad law, a bad program & they all turned against it. And now Mitt Romney is going to run on a platform to repeal it when he was largely responsible for writing the damn thing.

That is just typical politics and would have happend exactly the same way if the roles were reversed, that is why I will always be a indy voter and vote for who I think is the best candidate.

Let's go off the rails a bit & talk about your anti government Governor. Do you think for a minute that he is going to turn down any government assistance to help cover the cost of the floods from the latest tropical storms. I say he bellies up to the money trough & dives in head first. They are all hypocrites.

That's the problem with socialism. Once it starts it can't be stopped because the voting base is getting free stuff. I am lucky that I won't be around to see it in the end!

oooohhhhh don't even get me started on our governor and tropical storm debby! only took him till tampa was somewhat underwater and massive damage caused by twisters and then it causing damage to northern florida to declare a state of emergency while other states declared well before debby hit land when its track was so wacky... but tampa is just getting ripped (and you'd think as a republican he want our city to look pretty in august for the convention which now has a bump in the road due to water damage on bayshore and surrounding areas) and we got nothing!

sorry Im done! still a little angry as you can see though :) sorry if I offended anyone

Didn't he make some kind of speech yesterday about repealing it, but then talked about all the things he would do for healthcare, and it was all pretty much exactly the same as the current plan, except without the mandate (which is what pays for everything)?
