I believe your right. It seems like I have heard that before.

They didn't begin airing them Live until Season 8 & 9. They are just going back to the way it was prior to Nigel leaving. Now that he's back, he doesn't want the shows to run over their alloted time.

Good!! Nothing gripes my soul more than to DVR a show, and it cuts off before the end of the show!!!

Exactly...I have had that happen several times on the finale and I would get PO'd to no end to watch the whole show and miss them announcing the winner!!

Most DVR'S will allow you to extend the end time on any show you are recording. But, I reckon you knew that.
