UMG to remove all of its artists’ music from Tiktok

“UMG, the world’s biggest music company, says they will remove their artists’ music from TikTok this Wednesday when their contract expires after failing to reach a new agreement with the platform.

They have failed to reach an agreement on fair compensation and AI protections.”

So unless they work out a deal, this will arguably hurt Carrie as it will prevent any of her songs from going viral, old or new

Thank God her iconic Sony catalog wasn't removed.They need to reach an agreement though, because this is only going to hurt UMG artists. TikTok is one of the main ways that the younger generation discover new music.

UMG and Tik Tok have reached an agreement. All UMG artists’ music will be returning to the platform.
