Justin Timberlake Heading for Third Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart

It looks like Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience" will spend a third consecutive week atop the Billboard 200 chart next week.

The set could sell in the range of 150,000 to 170,000, Billboard estimates, based on the sales patterns of the last couple albums that debuted with a half-million or more. We'll have a more exact sales projection for "20/20" in the next day or two.

The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of April 10.

If "20/20" holds for a third week at No. 1, it will be the first set to spend its first three weeks at the top since "Red" did so on the charts dated Nov. 10 through Nov. 24, 2012. ("Red" then left the top slot for three weeks, only to return for another four-week engagement at No. 1.)

The last male artist to rule for his first three weeks was nearly three years ago, when Eminem's "Recovery" spent its first three frames at No. 1 (July 10 through July 24, 2010).

Next week's top debut should be country trio the Band Perry with its new album, "Pioneer.” The act's second set might sell around 110,000, according to industry sources, and bow at No. 2. Its self-titled first album debuted and peaked at No. 4 in 2010 with 53,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The smash set has gone on to sell 1.5 million in the U.S. and was the No. 6 best-selling country album of 2011.

The second-highest entry next week could come from Tyler, the Creator with his second album, "Wolf." It may shift around 75,000 to 80,000 copies. His last set, "Goblin," debuted and peaked at No. 5 in 2011 off a 45,000 start.

Other albums aiming for a top 10 start include New Kids on the Block's "10" (50,000) and Killswitch Engage's "Disarm the Descent" (45,000).

YOUR TOP 15: As expected, Justin Timberlake will remain at #1 for a third week, leading a Top 15 that reads like a who's who of the music industry with almost as many individual labels represented. The 20/20 Experience, already the year's best selling album in just three weeks, extends its lead over 2013's #2 best seller, Mumford & Sons, by nearly double, approximately 1.42m to 717k. Here's how it looks headed into the weekend:

Justin Timberlake (RCA) 140-150k
*The Band Perry (Republic Nashville) 110-120k
*Tyler The Creator (Columbia) 85-95k
Blake Shelton (Warner Bros. Nashville) 75-80k
Lil Wayne (Young Money/Cash Money/Republic) 65-70k
*New Kids on the Block (The Block) 45-50k
*Killswitch Engage (Roadrunner) 45-50k
Imagine Dragons (Interscope) 35-40k
Pink (RCA) 35-40k
Bruno Mars (Atlantic) 30-35k
Alan Jackson (Capitol Nashville) 27-30k
Now 45 (Capitol) 27-30k
*Bring Me The Horizon (Epitaph) 27-30k
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (Macklemore) 24-27k
Mumford & Sons (Glassnote) 22-25k

If it's a Country update The Band Perry would've been above Tyler The Creator, especially considering they have been projected to sell way above him.

Not bad! And with this week's promotion through the ACM's, the People Magazine cover & the itunes discount, we could break 1.4 million next week! :)

TBP was so close to that #1, it would've been nice for them to get it.

But great for Carrie for jumping back into the top 50 :)

No Miranda.

Top female in country music for promotion within the industry but no sales to support it.

Most all the artists reocgnized that the AMCs have product moving.
But not the one who won the most.

She hasn't been on the list for a very long time -- I'd guess for over a year so yes, its very interesting indeed.

I have said it before & I'll say it again until I am blue in the face. The Industry & her Label's continued attempts to push this girl into a major star continue to fall on an audience that isn't buying it. Sony should finally realize they are not going to be able to build their label's base on the back of Miranda Lambert.

Wow, so her performance on Idol didn't boost the sales o_O
I was expecting something like +10% or +20%

It didn't, but last week we had Easter. If it weren't for Idol, the drop would have been even bigger. At least it remained more stable.

Looking forward to an increase this week. It was time already for them to put the album on sale on iTunes. :)

Yeah, better than nothing haha
I hope she can sell around 13k-14k next week.

At this point I think they need to be aggressive with discounts to boost sales. The tour is going amazingly and the bulk of their money is being made there, I'm sure they can afford to put the album on sale more frequently then they are to get the numbers up, especially if she's approaching 1.5 million. I really hope they do a re-bundle of some sorts (bonus CD *cough* Oklahoma Wind *cough*, tour DVD, something like that) around the fourth quarter to maximize Christmas sales and get past the 2 million mark, it's definitely within reach

I thought the label doesn't make any money from her tour.

Contracts of late are 360 degree things. The music publisher gets some money fron all the artist's activities. Maybe since 19 is the real 360 for Carrie it might affect her album pricing.
I know some artists have those type of contracts like Kenny Chesney has one but I wasn't aware that Carrie had signed one of those deals.
