News im watching says 670,000 people without power now in NY. Currently 300,000 because of wind and stuff. the other because of forced outages or a small explosion that happened in one of the power buildings

Yeah a transformer blew at one of the power plants which accounts for some of the power outage in some area's

It just keeps getting worse. Unfortunately, we won't know the extent of the devastation until daybreak. :(

The problem they are having is there is a lot of electrical fires and so much water in the area's that they need to get to. Let alone they have to see what kind of damage the flooding did to the subway system in the morning

Surge peaked at 13.88 ft at the Battery, now down to 9.81 ft & going down. Flood issues improving. Power and other serious issues remain.
