I think Carrie can sing pretty much anything she wants - and sing it perfectly! If Carrie was crying, I hope it was from happiness as she did a superb job and believe she has always loved singing some of Linda's songs. Carrie is a perfectionist and can be sensitive to comments at times and do hope nobody hurt her feelings. Nobody can touch her singing talent and she just works so hard to give us what we want. Loved her dress - the most beautiful shade of blue and she looked gorgeous as usual!! She never disappoints me and I think there are obviously a lot of people that feel just like I do as she has been asked to perform at a lot of performances such as this.

I definitely agree that I hope Carrie was crying because of happiness and not because of someone saying something. I hope nothing happened with Trisha and Garth that upset her, but I am sure it was somewhat awkward for her after all of the crap that happened with the CMA awards.

It doesn't take much of a spark to ignite a tender flame.....could be anything, however slight, that reminded her of that night? IDK

She was probably crying because she's a fan of Linda and was emotionally overwhelmed by the whole thing which logically makes sense. Why does there have to be drama or a story behind it?

Exactly! When I watched Reba's KCH last year, it was very emotional watching her be honored. My mom started crying watching it. For fans, seeing one of their favorites and heroes honored in that way is so great, and Carrie like us is a fan.

Tears of joy for being a part of the event and meeting one of her heroes.

I just saw a stupid article titled "Fans think Trisha Yearwood is a better singer than Carrie Underwood" and went on to say people think Trisha was better at honoring Linda's songs.

Garth pay for this article or what?! Why was this even written

Found that article. Does the site even have a name, lol? The title was just scribbles. Looks like it would be a troll site if nothing else.

There was some troll named Big Bertha saying Trisha was better but she was one of the only negative trolls I saw. One or two others bit overwhelming support otherwise. Almost every tweet was nothing but love for Carrie.

Well clearly the big winner last night was Garth. After all he attended the event so that should be enough for him to get another nomination for CMA EOTY right? What else does he have to do!-)

Someone explain to me why Carrie fans insist on dwelling on the negative instead of positive.
There were lots of positive articles and tweets about the KCH. Why root out some small tiny hate article and post about it?

Exactly, plus the night was about Linda.

I suspect that the attitude of the fans are a big reason the other folks in the industry won't vote for her for major awards. Just a thought, but her fans can sometimes be more than a little overbearing.
