Notes and personal observations:
- Gabby, Gwen and Ingrid all hit #1 in previous weeks.
- M&T, Ashley McBryde seem to have a hit on their hands (I can see them reaching the Top 10 easily); Carly will probably hit #1
- RJ, with the departure of Hannah from the group, see their single falling now (which is sad because it was a great song)
- Gone West have been hanging on for many many weeks. I think it might remain on the chart for a few more weeks but probably won't go beyond #20
- Miranda will most likely hit #1 with "Bluebird". It's gained high praise from fans, critics and peers alike.
^Considering this, I think they should consider doing a big push for top ten on billboard. Hopefully they do, whenever it is, and don’t just let it drop off
That's what they should do, but after seeing the Love Wins chart run I doubt that happens. They'll probably just keep "promoting" it as they have until radio is completely done with the song, then they'll drop it no matter where it is on the chart. If it gets top 10 it'll be because it just happened to get there, but I don't think UMG will do any pushing. Still think with the right strategy it could go top 5 on mediabase and top 10 on BB, but from the way they promoted all the Cry Pretty singles it doesn't look like they ever have a strategy or if they do it's too late to get the highest peak it can. I feel like even though the callouts are pretty bad, it could still have the steam in it to get that top 5 peak on MB, it actually went from being the next to last song on the score to now the fourth to last, so that is a positive for it. Even with bad callouts I can't help but forget last year Jake Owen's "Down to the Honkytonk" was dead last on the callouts (even below Love Wins) and yet his label was able to secure a #7 peak on BB with a big push. Carrie needs a label like that. I get Carrie is over 35, but her name, impact, and relevancy is 10x that of Jake Owen, so it should be possible for her too.
mostly syndicated shows, some nights they play it once or twice, some night not at all.Is there a reason for why its spins fluctuate so much? Like it goes from being negative to then having a jump back up to positive.
I had my local radio station playing for about 7 hours yesterday and on Monday for Memorial Day. Both days they played DA twice, and Southbound, Blown Away, and All-American Girl once each. I guess it’s a positive that I was hearing her pretty much the most in comparison to other people, but I want to hear her current single lol.
