GS is at #14 this week on Billboard (+1 spot) gaining 1.332 million in audience. That's about 100K more than Combs' song gained this week, so his label is definitely holding him back for a fellow label mate's song to push that one ahead. The song they are pushing ahead of Combs didn't quite pass Combs this week, but it will next week and it way outgained Combs this week. If SN continues to hold back Combs, that could come in handy and help GS repass it if a big push ever needed that to happen (it might not, just saying). And if they hold it back long enough, it could get radio burnt out on Combs song and let some of the hype die down - this is kind of what happened with Smoke Break and why it got blocked - they held it back for another song and then when it was its turn to go to #1, it was too congested at the top. Of course none of that could happen here, just pointing it out.
In other news, Jake Owen is pushing max spins this week and is going to try to push ahead of a couple songs. This will be great as then he will likely miss #1 (on Billboard at least) and start dropping, so we are getting to clear out the chart some on both charts with that song about to start falling very hard next week. Ultimately it seems we're about to have a big clean out too with other songs going off soon on both charts, so things should start picking up and we should hit top 10 within the next few weeks.
