Perhaps HDD is not factoring in the cmt awards bump?

I can't imagine that the CMT awards would give that big a bump but I could be completely wrong. It had only 2.9 million viewers and I am sure some of those were there to watch various artists. But we can always hope.

I don't think it does either, there can't be very many people who watch the CMT Awards who are not already big time country fans who already have heard GG several times and already knew that the album is out.

Really? Only 2.9 million watched?

I read on twitter that ratings were the third best in
Cmt awards history... So they were considered very good ratings this year. Lol

Well, 2.9 million may still be the third best, lol, but yes I am sure. I looked at the official numbers. Ok, if you want to be exact, it was 2.906 million, lol.

I am so happy the album is getting released in the UK in a few weeks and JapAn in july. American idol is popular in japan so you never know. Carrie could have fans there.

Soul surfer is opening in Germany Europe and Japan this month too.. So the timing is great for carrie overseas.

Hey clh_hilary: An observation for you - Madonna's MDNA album has gone from 350k to <2k in weekly sales within a couple of months and drops out of the Billboard 200 chart!

I know. 9 weeks on chart, her shortest chart run for a studio album. But it might re-enter with discounts and the tour.

The Beach Boys are aiming for their highest charting album on the Billboard 200 in 37 years as "That's Why God Made the Radio" could debut in the top three next week.

The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, June 13.

Industry sources project that the Beach Boys' album may sell around 60,000 to 65,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, June 10. That figure will also include nearly 20,000 copies that were pre-ordered during the band's concert appearance on the QVC shopping network on May 16.

The last time the Beach Boys were this high on the Billboard 200 was in October of 1974, when the greatest hits package "Endless Summer" spent one week at No. 1.

"That's Why God Made the Radio" is the band's 29th studio album and was released as part of the group's 50th anniversary celebration.

As for the rest of next week's top 10, a very familiar face could be back at No. 1. Adele's "21" album may return to the top slot -- for a 24th nonconsecutive week. The set, which has yet to leave the top 10 after more than a year, may move around 70,000 to 73,000 copies. Country superstar Alan Jackson will like arrive in the runner-up slot with his new "Thirty Miles West" album with maybe 67,000 to 70,000.

However, there's a chance Jackson could overtake Adele for the No. 1 slot over the weekend. If he does, it will mark his fifth No. 1 set. He last crowned the tally in 2008 with "Good Time."

Also heading for top 10 bows next week are Big K.R.I.T.'s "Live From the Underground" and Curren$y's "Stoned Immaculate." Both titles are on course for a start around 40,000 to 45,000. Neil Young & Crazy Horse's "Americana" will also likely arrive in the top 10. The collection of folk standards could be Young's first top 10 album since 2007's "Live at Massey Hall 1971" debuted and peaked at No. 6. Since then, he's charted seven more albums.

The last likely top 10 entry next week may be Brandi Carlile's "Bear Creek," with about 25,000 to 30,000. The singer's last full-length studio set, 2009's "Give Up the Ghost," debuted and peaked at No. 26. It launched with 25,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

On Nielsen SoundScan's Building chart (below), Jackson is No. 1 while Adele's "21" is at No. 2. The Building tally is a precursor to the final Billboard 200 ranking -- reflecting the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week as reported by six major merchants. Big K.R.I.T is No. 3, Curren$y is No. 4 and John Mayer's "Born and Raised" is No. 5.

The Beach Boys are at No. 6, but that ranking is deceiving. While the Building chart includes a fair amount of sales from retailers, it does not include QVC. Once those sales are factored in, the band will be much higher on the final Billboard 200 next Wednesday.

One Direction's "Up All Night" is No. 7, Carlile is No. 8, Carrie Underwood is at No. 9 and Luke Bryan's "Tailgates & Tanlines" closes out the tally at No. 10.

She's still being shown at 5? And Adele's shown over Alan? Certainly is a strange update.

I'd be okay with it though. :)

So based on the numbers so far does anyone have a guess as to what Carrie's sales will end up being this week?

Last week after the same 54.02% Carrie was at 19,172 and she finished with 31,552 according to HITS.
Doing the math that would mean that Carrie would end at 28,264 with only a 10% decrease in sales.
A pretty good hold if you ask me!
