I understand you like to split hairs but that is the definition of platinum for a double album and it is certainly an accomplishment for this day and age particularly for a greatest hits collection. ( As far as the record company is concerned if the album is shipped it is sold because it has been sold to wholesaler).

I realize that but I still want it to hit platinum anyway under the double disc rule as then carrie can say every album hit platinum.

Platinum is platinum, so it shipped 500,000 when there's two discs that's 1,000,000 discs. 1,000,000 discs=platinum. Think about that she'd still be distributing, shipping, selling, whatever you want to call it 1,000,000 CDs not 500,000. So, it's 500,000 units not CDs.

Shipments can be returned and 500k is a long way from 1 million. It's an accomplishment, but it's not really that great or rare for a general album released by an established star. Not to mention the album was released in 2014, not 2015.

Good sales for Carrie - but confused. Is this the delayed Grammy bump now? I thought that was last week when Carrie beat Miranda by a hair. Is this a new week?

These are from last week, post-grammy bump.

These numbers are the adjusted numbers after including the Streaming, airplay and downloads (this is so stupid...these are two separate charts, the hot 200 is the new chart and then there is a strictly album sales chart. BB is a joke now). HDD had Carrie slightly ahead but when the final numbers came our, Miranda was ahead by 300 units. If i am not mistaken Miransa's album was also discounted on itunes as well.

Sam Hunt is a great seller. I haven't heard his album yet, and his singles are just OK to me, but I'll give him a chance.
