I believe Carrie digital total already reach 26 millions. If she dind't reach 40 millions records sold in US (albums+singles), she's very close to this mark.
In september, BB revealed that Carrie has sold 24.9 million. Since then, she sold more than a million copies:

Billboard updated Carrie's track sales (all tracks she has released) and since them, I've been tracking her total sales based on the numbers they gave us. All those sales you posted already count towards the Total Track Sales. I just didn't post them because they were too small. Actually, I have all that data in a thread on another forum, and I just posted singles that had an art cover so the thread would be more beautiful lol There's a "P.S" there saying there are more numbers but I didn't posted them because they were too small, but they are still included. Since it's Track Sales, I counted both digital/physicals of IYH. They are still records, so they should count towards the total track sales. If anything, when Billboard posted those numbers they were probably just digital sales, so her number could still be a lot higher if they didn't include IYH physical sales.

I think we should ask for another update on BB.


Kelly and Carrie are real close and Carrie may reach the 40 million mark very soon. This is quite an achievement for an American idol Alum. We could say all of this in the e-mail, we could even talk about the new season that is about to begin.

I don't think they will, they have already done it a couple of times. :(

Well, I think Carrie has already hit the 40 million, I don't understand your math that much tbh lol

I know like seriously that was such a downer, and I was really gonna wear that bracelet but there is no way im wearing something that says GG lol my friends would just take jokes to a whole new level lol btw Im shocked at how much carrie has sold through out the years like OMG i couldve sworn she was around 30 M tops in record haahha and I TOLD YOU SO ABOUT GIG!!! if she reeases that i can smell the multi platinum plaques from miles away haha
