I don't understand how Pink was able to outsell predictions that much. Talking about longevity! She has now the 2nd biggest opening week of the year. She only trails Madonna!

And Bieber.

So happy for P!nk, it really is an AMAZING album! One of her best and she has great consistency.

I'm happy that Carrie had an increase this week too! Hopefully she can stay above 13k for a while.

Thanks, totally forgot about Beaver!

I think we won't see a big increase when SS numbers come out. HDD last week said Carrie would sell around 14k, so, this is why she had that increase.

That's actually her best first week sales ever! :) Before, it was 220k with Missundaztood.

I guess I am saying that a named good seller hits the top of this weeks album list with only 281,000 albums sold. I thought she would do better but I wasn't directing my comment to her album. It is the whole album market.

You have to take into account CMA Fest as well. I would expect her to have pretty close numbers to last week

Those numbers are already pretty close to last week. What I was saying is that HDD has to make those percentage increases according to their data, not SS data. HDD underestimated Carrie's numbers last week, saying she sold less than 14k, but she ended up selling about 1,5k more than what HDD said she would. That's why she had that increase, when she actually sold about the same as last week. I think she will remain stable because of those numbers, so SS official numbers shouldn't show a big increase, if at all. I would be here for HDD underestimating her again though! :)

Pink's album was on sale for $5 all week on Amazon. Why the sale I don't know.

I think the reason Pink did better then projections is she put the album on sale for 6.99 on amazon, right? Carrie did not do that opening week.

Also-- to be fair-- Pink's Iheartradio performance was phenominal. I watched it and I was literally blown away. She was on fire. Not sure if she got a last minute sales push from that as it was Saturday night, but Sunday's sales count, right?

Anyway-- I am so glad Carrie had an increase and did well. I was worried based on that first update. 15k is great. She has now crossed 800k at last.

Great to see an increase this week! I'm hoping these non-stop positive reviews of the tour by the critics in each of the cities she visits will continue to keep the sales at least level from week-to-week for awhile.

BREAKING GLASS: Based on early sales reports, Mumford & Sons’ new Glassnote album, Babel, is headed for a total that could go as high as 500k, but will certainly top 400k, a lock for #1. That will make it the biggest first week of the year, topping both Justin Bieber (373k) and Madonna (358k). At least until Taylor Swift’s Red drops on Oct. 22, that is. (9/25p)
