300,000 is great by any standard but is it great for TS third week?

I believe "Speak Now" did around 330k copies in its second week. If "Red" goes the lower end of her projections she'd be doing worse, if "Red" goes the higher end she'd be doing slightly worse, because she had a way bigger first week for "Red".

Considering the debut was higher, shouldn't we expect a bigger drop then? Sales must have been really frontloaded.

Yeah but the overall sales should still be higher. Its the percentage that would determine the drop difference. And there wasnt any huge deals for "Red" last week so the drop should technically be less than SN.


She is definitely front loaded. Once January hits, she will be done.

Yeah, good point.

I'm thinking the same thing... but if I recall correctly, she has good longevity with albums.

SN opened with 1,047,000 and the second week as 327,493 so about a 69% drop

For me she was done with the Tim McGraw song. Millions of teens disagree, but they are teens.

I don't know how good are the numbers from amazon, but her albums are still being sold with low prices. BA was in #3 yesterday (#8 right now), far ahead from Luke(#29) and Eric (#26). Hope this helps a little bit.

Just looking through the entire chart. Not as big a turnout for country stars as I thought it would be, just the usual suspects.

I am thrilled with Carrie's increase. However, I am disappointed that I don't see Brad on the list. I was hoping he'd see a nice increase to appear on the chart, too. :)

So where do her numbers stand now? Is she at 900k yet?

She was at around 879k last week so if these numbers stay pretty close to Soundscan she will be just over 900k

awesome! 900k sounds so much better then 800k. lol

Watch she gets to 1 million followers around the same time she sells 1 million cds. They better have Black Friday sales!

Best Buy is completely out of Blown Away, sadly. They have lots of her other cds but no BA. :(
