I find the hatred & nastiness directed at this young lady quite similar to what happened to Carrie when she was on the show. The Farmbot & Barbie & stiffness & all that other crap. People were wrong then & I have a suspicion they will be this time around as well.

Yes, I do believe that Clark is done. IN this new world of knowing artists like celebrities and "bff's". It becomes about how accessible you are not so much how great you are. I am certain that if Harry Connick Jr. tried today he would fail. People today need alot more than talent..... And Clark has an odd edge to him.
Rayvon got voted out, overall it was a really solid show and Nashville was very good.

Everyone did very well tonight. Rayvon really has a lovely voice. Sad to see him go.
I do feel they are trying to make Jaxx win. I liked her alot at first, but she is a bit pitchy at times-- being honest.. Tonight- I thought she was sort of ripping off Gwen Stefani or Pink's style. She just seems like she is trying to be exactly like them. Her stage presence was good though- except on that last song. The judges called that one right. She did well in the beginning though. I guess I am undecided about her still. I like her- but I feel the judges and Scott are pimping her out too much while bussing poor Clark.
Nick got the best song choices tonight by far. I thought he did the best tonight overall.I am still pulling for Clark to win, but to be honest, Nick did better tonight. Clark was a bit off tonight imo= especially on the 50 Shades song.
Anyway-It annoys me that Scott is trying to steer everyone to vote for Jax. Do you guys think she is going to win? I think that is what is turning me against her a little: Scott B being so desperate for her to win. Ugh.

I'm really hoping for Clark and Nick to be the final 2. I just don't care for Jax. I have honestly tried to like her but something is missing. She is pitchy but we all know that's an easy fix for SB.
I still have this burn in my stomach about Carrie not singing in the finale. They are announcing artist for the show next week and no mention of Carrie. I don't care if it has to do w/SB label and promotion of his artist. Carrie won idol! This is her 10 yr reunion and she should have been there. This is BS! All the promotion Carrie has given idol this is how they treat her.

I think overall tonight had the best performances of the season and I think alot of that had to do with they were told right at the beginning that they would each sing 3 songs and someone would be eliminated at the end. Unlike other weeks where they are forced to sing minutes after being saved and getting that 'rush' of still being alive.
As for Jax, I think 2 things hurt her. #1 she came in with what appeared to be a fanbase "Jax Packs" or whatever she calls it. It was made worse when she wore 'the dress' and made it look like she thought it was a popularity contest. Personally for me I've liked Jax from the beginning and to her credit she hasn't milked the fact that her Dad was a first responder on 911 and got injured. Part of the reason I thought she could win was that backstory and she hasn't used that much at all.
I'm hoping she at least makes it to the final 2 so it's not another guy guy finale. I also think she has the potential to be the best selling person of the 3.

I presume that is directed at me. Please read & study carefully what I said. I never compared Jax to Carrie...I compared the hatred & nastiness directed at both ladies. There is a difference.
I find it highly entertaining to read statement after statement about "I hate Jax" only to be followed up with I love Clark, I'm rooting for Nick, I' wish Rayvon had stuck around. The incredible love poured forth for these vanilla, mediocre guys is something I have never understood. Nick is better than most to be sure, but Clark & Rayvon? For cryin out loud, there is a reason Clark was singing on the street corner.
And Teesharky & others want to say Jax is pitchy...have you been paying attention at all to what spews forth out of Rayvon? Oh, never miind, he'll be around only to haunt those that pay for the tour.
I suspect that Jax & Nick will both get signed by Big Machine & Clark will be signed only if he wins.

You are certainly right about who will be signed and who will be left behind. I just find it odd that you choose the two best singers to aim your own angst at.
If you could not easily tell last night by both Jax and Clark sitting at a piano and singing, who the better singer and musician is, than there is no point in getting upset over each persons opinion. You like Jax. That is fine. But no one hates Jax and you turn around and show animosity toward the other guys in the exact same way others might show distaste for Jax. That's not exactly impartial. No one is impartial.
The reality is (and yes it is reality if you use the instruments of determination for Singing) that a better singer went home lastnight befor Jaxx. And another better singer will go home again if she doesn't go first. That's not hate. It just is.....

Considering its still foxes biggest show, it will of course be renewed. It is not like shows that cancel after quality starts to slip and they want to keep the integrity of what the show has created. A reality show like Idol or Survivor can basically just keep going forever as long as there is a desent viewership. Though they may have to drop the budget with time.......
I think it is sad that it is so far from what it once was. But I guess everything must change. But I kind of wish they would cancel so the history of the show can remain intact. If they just run it into the ground for the next 10 years, being a past winner or even contestant will just be a joke. It will have no clout or meaning at all.
