BRAVOOOOO!!! That was amazing! I think she sang live (there was a part where she had stopped quickly so she can switch her arm position).. it's hard to tell where they overlayed the audio as it was smooth and Carrie is really really good vocally live... but definitely it's during the acrobatic part until before the last "Ghost Story" where it's back to her live vocals... Regardless, what she did was amazing and it elevated GS...

With this, I think D&R era is about being in that whimsical and dream-like moment much like how GS and the performances (and hopefully the video) are portraying... I also get that feel with D&R... it's like you're transported to a different happy place... 😁

I still think VOTY will go to Kane or Carrie/Jason. I could see Cody having won Male by garnering a lot of casual votes. But VOTY requires a dedicated fanbase to vote repeatedly throughout the night, which I don't think Cody has.

I’d say that is true. So it’s nice to see Cody get male. and was glad to give Cody votes too…

But if the points that have been posted here, I can’t see it not go to Carrie and Jason….

Yes, the more I listen to it, it was definitely live, and then they mastered the vocals afterwards to make them sound even better (like they do at CMA Fest). I still can’t believe Carrie did acrobatics in the air. We are a spoiled fan base.

She has the best fans in the business too….. I love it…..

now end the show with one of the greatest male entertainers in the business….

IIDLY isn't the most interesting video, but I actually liked what Jason had to say about two veterans in the industry still being able to win VOTY nearly 20 years into their careers (though nothing new for Carrie). And it was kind of neat seeing Jason win his first CMT ever.
