I'm just saying that after 17 years we know Carrie loves big production so I don't know why some people seems kind of surprised by it at this point.

I don't think it's too loud btw! It's perfect to me..

Poor Everybody Else is my favorite title and the longer song on the album, I just know it will slay hard!!

I would say shorter songs makes for an album that can be listened to multiple times without exhaustion. I personally love the longer songs, IF they are good. Streaming will definitely be benefited by shorter songs. Many people play an album and let it go without noticing it restarted… I am one of those many people.

I didn't say I was surprised. I don't like it. And to me the production on CA is way over the top even for Carrie who as you say loves production.

its just baffling to me that someone with such a beautiful voice chooses so often to mask it.

Ok yes it's kind of what happened to me with Storyteller, I didn't like the toned down production, it bored me so much 😅 .

She will have time to release more toned down albums in the future when her voice started to get exausted of singing loud lol

Yay new song!!! This one has 90s influence as mentioned in the discussions.. The electric guitar gives that sense of nostalgia... It's a fun and playful song... Maybe it's just me but the second verse sounds like a Taylor Swift song while the first verse reminds me of Maroon 5 LOL! Very cute 😁 Production-wise, it's true that the production is heavy and loud especially in the chorus... I still like it nonetheless! I prefer D&R but that's because I gravitate towards songs that are just chill... Anyway, this will be on repeat the whole day 🤩

So, I like the song, but I agree the production is just a bit too loud. This could be a pretty cool song overall though. Will see what the full polished version sounds like tomorrow.

I agree the production is loud, but that is the way most rock songs of the 80's and 90's were. I love it and think it will catch on. I love the hooks in it and the lyrics. I have been wanting a song like this from Carrie for a long time. I used to play in a band in high school and we played mostly 80's and 90's songs. Actually, this is typical Carrie with the big production that she has embraced since the beginning. I am happy that she is doing something she wants to do---finally.

*One of the girls here just mentioned that Carrie has been called an "Angel" and she thinks this is a fun song for Carrie---"She is flying low tonight". LOL
