Now taking bets on how old the male researcher in the new Jennifer Lawrence movie is going to be. She's going to be 25 when she starts the film. I'm going to say we're looking at a male lead 15 years older than her.

I'm going to watch AHS for the very first time this year, because of Gaga, Bomer and Greenfield.
Watched Kingsman. It's fun in a turn-your-brain-off kind of way. Decent way to spend 2 hours.

WELLL this is interesting. Every prediction list i saw for the upcoming oscars had this movie as a possible contender and Jake def in the running for lead actor nomination and Naomi for actress. Now....this puts it out of contention

I liked SLP and loved American Hustle. This looks good. The problem with with Joy is that I have to believe that a woman who is only almost exactly a year older than me is the world-weary lead character. Jennifer can still believably play a teenager for at least 3 or 4 more years. Every year, O'Russell keeps casting her in a role five years older than her previous O'Russell role. She looks so fresh faced and radiant.
Does Jake Gyllenhaal have any other award season prospects than 'Southpaw'? It's odd that they gave Demolition a spring release. Is there a possibility that it might screen in LA alone before the end of the year? That way it can become eligible.
I would never bet against Tina Fey being mistaken for a prostitute. It's just the kind of thing that can happen to her. Has anyone read her book 'Bossypants'? It's a fun read.

I don't think he has any other shot. I think Demolition was suppose to be his in. It doesn't seem like theyre pushing Southpaw for awards as much as I originally thought. I actually thought southpaw wasn't being pushed because of Demolition this year. I think it has to open in NYC and LA in order for it to be illegible. But I've read a few articles (since I assumed they might do that as well) that state that they won't be and that the april 8th is the limited release date not even the wide one and Demolition is officially out of contention. I find it so odd. I wouldn't be surprised if they make a last minute change and release it limited but maybe its truly not ready. But i can't imagine it'd need reshoot cause Jake got into serious shape for that and it'd be hard to mimic just for reshoots. This def helps other actors in the best actor running.

Seriously, don't you find it jarring to see her play characters well beyond her age? Makes me wonder how an older actress would have played them. Edgar Ramirez and Jennifer are supposed to be the same age in this film.

^ I do find it a bit distracting. I did at first with Silver Lining and then as I watched the movie it became one of my favorites and made me overlook the age difference. How old was she suppose to be in AH? I felt That was a total distraction in that movie.
Emily blunt MAY make I run at it with Sicario in September but I don't see her sneaking in for a nom I don't think.
Ugh I LOVE Olivia munn. Her character in the newsroom is one of my top 5 TV characters of all time. I was stoked when she was announced to be in xmen! And her personality is awesome

I think the age didnt matter that much in Silver Linings but in AH it looked like a little girl playind dressed up and wearing her mother's dresses and wigs.
Helping Yoko Ono was hilarious! I totally thought the Monaco story was a lie, because when they ask her what she saw there she said casinos and James Bond and those were the only 2 thins that came to my mind haha (and I have never been there obviously)

SLP wasn't hard to digest but Rosalyn in AH was completely wrong for her. She acted the crap out of it but they should have used someone older. Her scenes with Jack Huston were her most believable in the movie.
i thought Monaco was a lie because polka dotted jumpsuit just doesn't scream prostitute to me. The story was just so ridiculous.
