This is probably a silly question, but if I have the Spotify app running in the background on my phone and my volume all the way down (only because I’m watching football right now, but I still want to help with streaming lol), does that help her numbers?
I really prayed for a 300K range but at least let's just hope that the tour bundle will make it sell good throughout the weeks ahead
Not to be a killjoy, but on the contrary, tour bundles tend to mean a very harsh drop in the second week. The bundle likely won't help its sales until the tour actually starts (then maybe we can expect a random bump to the Top 10 or something).
FIRST PROJECTION!
HITS Daily Double : Rumor Mill - KEEP CALM;CARRIE'S ON
#1 Carrie Underwood (Capitol Nashville) 190-210k total activity, 185-205k album
What does "activity" mean? Also, do these numbers also include the tour bundles? I thought for sure that the bundle would send first week sales to at least 200-250k.
Unfortunately, I agree with you that it will be a harsh drop in sales. On the flip side, I think as people redeem their CDs it will help her sales. From what I’ve read so far, it seems people aren’t redeeming or didn’t think that had to for it to count as a sale. Also, as others read the positive reviews, listen to the songs, and see the promo happening it will increase her sales.
^ good to see CP on so many countries streaming chart, but still why is Carrie's streaming so lacking?

I really don't get it, either. I know that until people get the chance to actually hear this album, they aren't going to realize how great it is. To me, this is the most relatable album Carrie has ever released since most people, especially the younger audiences, love relationship songs and this album is chock full of them. I hope her streaming picks up. Maybe it will down the road with the release of the next single. I think the next one should be Low, DA, Backsliding, or TSTWUTMLT. Those would really give a feel for just how different this album is and could hopefully hook the streaming audience.
Carrie Underwood (Capitol Nashville) 220-230k total activity, 210-220k album
6BLACK (LVRN/Interscope) 60-70k, 17-20k
Tony Bennett & Diana Krall (Verve/Columbia) 25-28k, 24-27k
Tori Kelly (Capitol) 15-18k, 12-15k
Willie Nelson (Legacy) 9-10k, 8-9k
I think HDD just increased their predicted number for Cry Pretty. Imagine if she had been on GMA, Today Show, SNL or on the cover of Billboard, etc.
