Carrie normally fares better on Mediabase compared to BB. She had tons of songs (See You Again, Dirty Laundry, Smoke Break, Two Black Cadillacs, etc.) make it to #1 one Mediabase but stuck at #2 on BB due to their difference in tracking #s. If this would have happened earlier then those songs would have likely been BB #1s as well.I don't understand what this would do for us? I don't follow charts much though.
Like really, did a ghost rob UMG and take the money they had set aside for a max push??Who knew the actual "ghost story" would be the vanishing of max spins provided to this song?!?
Really that's where her team needs to be focusing. Playlisting and playlist positioning is very important.Interesting that the push for GS on radio is accompanied with its placement at the very bottom of the Hot Country Spotify playlist. Better streams would help with its overall Hot 100 peak. And if GS had become a decently sized streaming hit maybe that would have in turn helped it on radio too. But the team seemed content to have it in the lower half of the playlist most of its run.
They arguably disliked CP more or at least the same and that one even got a decent big pushIf radio doesn't want to play, they won't.
Will probably outpeak CP on BB by a place or twoShould be #6 next week, I hope. Peaking just outside top 5, tying CP on mediabase (billboard tbd)
I’m predicting 6 on both charts but we will seeWill probably outpeak CP on BB by a place or two
