That's not a rumor it's a fact but the same rules apply to everyone. The music industry has changed and streaming is taking over from sales so it only makes sense to include it in certifications.

when I first checked the RIAA searchable Database this morning the New certifications hadn't been updated to the database yet so that's why I said it was a rumor the database has since been updated
