I couldn't even watch the 1st time with anyone I was so nervous for her. I had seen all the hate and wanted her to show them that she could do it well - and I agree, she did magnificently well!

It does seem a long time ago, but Carrie was totally awesome. I was bursting with pride & tears of joy & still do watching the DVD.
I rewatched the making of SOML special last night.
It was great seeing all the behind the scenes stuff again.I still marvel that 16 weeks from air date they were just casting the children!! Gosh they did not give themselves much time for rehearsals.I think the show they put on last year started full rehearsals in July, SOML started in mid October.What were they thinking.

The fact that they had so little time makes it all the more impressive what they were able to do.

Oh man I will NOT be watching this live production.
I know it seems like an odd choice, but Alice will be singing a song from the show, not his own material, and he won't be wearing his usual makeup. I saw the Broadway musical version a couple of years ago, and it was fantastic, so I'm really looking forward to the live TV version.
