'Drinking Alone' chart updates

I hate it, too, and will just be glad when this era is over. Miranda is Facetime writing with various people. I wonder if Carrie is doing that, as well. A Christmas album just doesn't do it for me. Nice, but not like having new music to play year 'round. Of course, a couple of years will probably go 'round before we get that, so not holding my breath, lol.

DA drops to #11 (-80 spins/-.291 AIs)
11 CARRIE UNDERWOOD Drinking Alone 4693 4782 -89 25.884

Well looks like DA is now done. Pretty sure it'll go recurrent on Billboard today. We'll see.

Unbelievable and sad. This has been an unfulfilling era. Everything just seemed "off" from the beginning.

Well I just hope this was her experimental album and now come back to the Church Bells, Cowboy Casanova, Blown Away, Something in the Water sounds!

But in the mid time I'm ready for that Christmas smash album!

Noo I was hoping they would do a big push this week. Its like they didnt even try with this single. Dont know if its Carrie or her team but its like there was no effort to promote this past the CMAs. Maybe Carrie was just done after being snubbed and wants to move on...

Just one of the examples that I have always had issues with from her labels.... Not just mediabase but particularly BB... When was the last time Carrie had a Number# 1 on BB?

Oh well we got another Top 10 from it.

And it never was about remixing for me since Carrie's music speaks for itself, and lord knows DA was such a wonderful song, should have easily went to the penthouse IMO....

^ Last BB #1 she had was “Church Bells” in 2016. “Dirty Laundry” came very close though in 2017; missing #1 by 0.050 in audience. Sony was content with the MB #1 though and likely had no interest in throwing in more $ to get the BB #1 since they knew Carrie was leaving Sony for UMG a couple months later.

I couldn’t agree with this anymore. I really do feel like this was a bit of a new sound for Carrie (I personally liked it of course), with her sound leaning a bit more into pop. So I could see why it had a little trouble on radio.

but yes! Those songs you mentioned were all hits too...make songs like those and we’ll have a successful era next go around.

I'd rather she continue with this sound. This was by far her best album, and hopefully she continues to top her previous albums.

I hope not. Been there done that. I love the direction CP took her in.

Personally, all the singles she released this era were radio friendly......it has nothing to do with the music imo radio just doesnt play older females. If BHC was released I'm 2020, it wouldn't have smashed like it did in 2005.
It makes me sad that alot of us on here are disappointed in the era. :( I still appreciate all the good things that happened. We knew one day her songs wouldn't get played.

I really think it all boils down to test scores. Last album tested really well and all went to / almost went to #1. The songs this album tested really badly. I think age plays a part, except Miranda’s success with Bluebird has supported the test score theory. Her last several songs tested really badly& weren’t played. Bluebird tested well and right off the gate it’s a big hit and will be #1 soon

That negative score isn't high, just much isn't being tested & the few songs that are happen to be testing well. The only songs with a "bad" score is DA and FGL. Now if Bluebird's neg numbers went up to ~17, it would be on the bad side. It also has low burn rates

Well maybe is not bad but I don't think is good either. Depends on how you see it I guess.

Drinking Alone have the third highest favorite score but I guess that doesn't count for radio.. lol
