This is infuriating. As a former hockey player, his platform is limited at best, but as the husband of Carrie Underwood, many more people care than they would otherwise. It has the power to harm her career. And for that reason, I think it is a very selfish decision to weigh in. Does he have the right? Sure. But should his concern for negative attention for Carrie prompt him to keep it in check? I say, "yes". Why are they choosing to get involved now? I just don't get it. This isn't helpful or productive - and is actually harmful by contributing to doubts about the vaccine. It is the opposite of what they should be using their platform for. I am so disappointed.
