Lol, you're never going to let it go, are you? ME NEITHER!!!!! After Cee Lo is done, get Carrie to sing that song that Cher won the GG for.....Imagine Carrie going "I'm GONNA SHOW YOU ALL WHAT I'M MADE OF!!! YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE LAST OF ME"

Oh please no. That song was horrible and a total waste of time in the movie. I'd rather have her sing Play On - same message much better song.

Is it Gwyneth Paltrow going to be on every music award ceremony now? The woman does a movie about a singer and now she's a singer? I dont remember Reese Witherspoon or Joaquin Phoenix ,to name someone, being all over the place after Walk The Line. And that was a GREAT movie, based just on the trailer Country Strong looks really bad.

How many performers have been announced so far? Sorry, I did not keep track of the performers. If there's no Carrie, I don't exert the effort to remember the performers lol.

^ agree. It is kind of unfair that Gwyneth is taking a coveted Grammy slot, when she is not a real artist. I like her, but it is kind of unfair that she is getting to perform at all these award shows when others would kill or die for the slot. Then again, Cee Lo was going to perform the song anyway, so in all fairness, she didn't take a whole performance slot from someone else. She is just collaborating on one that was already planned.

They announced Mick Jagger today-- so now the rock legend thing they announce every year is done. lol

there should be a few more performances still. I am not expecting Carrie anymore though. It is a week away, and still no announcements of more then 2 country artists. They must be snubbing country this year.

I still have some hope she will present though.

I just hope she doesn't pass on even attending the Grammys, and hole up in Canada. I think that would be a bad idea right now, as she already skipped the AMAs and PCAS, and she needs to be visible at these events. Plus it is an honor to be nominated for a Grammy, even if you don't perform.

There are about 13 performances now. They had about 18 performances one year, and 16 last year. It varies every year.

only 2 country performers so far-- and they had between 4-6 the last few years.

Are there still more presenters to be announced? Even if Carrie doesn't perform, it'd be cool to see her present, since she's never done that before.

Yes more presenters will be announced.

I have a bad feeling they are making the Grammys all about Miranda now though. Carrie's lovely label seems to be pushing her in the corner in general, and pushing Miranda in the spotlight at every opportunity. So watch she didn't even get a presenter slot. So sad.

Lol, I was just kidding! She could actually perform some of Phoebe Buffay's songs (from F.R.I.E.N.D.S) that'd be even more appropriate. Examples : You Suck!, B*tch screwed me over, etc. :D

That's what I'm pinning my hopes on : that there should be at least one more country act, and if there is one, Carrie is quite frankly the only one worth of performing. But, it looks very unlikely right now. If she doesn't attend, I'm skipping the Grammys, although I was kinda looking forward to listening to GaGa's new single.

With the leak of the way her label is pushng it's artsts, it seems likely they would have sumitted Miranda over Carrie for the Grammys in the same way they did for the ACM's.
I imagine it works the same way.
Labels go to these organizations to push for their artists to be on the show.
If they said nothing about Carrie this year and did not offer her up to use, it's very possible that Grammys producers accepted Miranda this year.

That sucks so bad. Why can't BOTH Miranda and Carrie be on the Grammys? Carrie and Taylor both performed, 2 years in a row now.

I bet Carrie gets the shaft for the Grammys too.
