'Nashville'

I'm pretty sure this is it for the show. It could've been cancelled last year but one more year gave it enough episodes for syndication.

Why are you guys so certain? where are you getting this info from?

Nothing is definitive yet but the network announced a bunch of renewals last week and Nashville was not among them. The executive that indicated support for a 5 th season is apparently no longer with the network. I'm a fan of the show but I must admit it doesn't look good. To be honest this season has been a little bit all over the place so far.

You're right. Paul Lee was fired in February and Nashville is now listed as "could go either way."

I hate to hear that. I love this show. It's always nice to have a show on tv that isn't just another legal or crime show.

I'm really sad by this. The ratings dropped when Hayden left. It's unfortunate, and Paul said he was to keep Nashville going, and now the new head doesnt want to. Nashville is so amazing, and it just never caught on since it is 'country music'. Let's just hope that the ratings will be ok when it comes back, enough to sanction a renewal

To be honest I think the fact a UK tour has been announced in June with 4 of the cast members is a good sign the show won't be cancelled. Would they really before taking it overseas and spending that money if cancellation was likely?

If Deacon would have left Rayna at the alter I would had to stop watching the show because that would have been just so over the top, I was happy to see my girl Sara Haines with the cameo.

I was behind with this show, I watched like 5 episodes in a row including this week's episode. Deacon is stupid like no one else. I have to say that I hate the story with Maddie and her emancipation. Hate that Cash girl and dont get me started with her Dad. Juliette- Avery drama is getting old. Layla is exhausting to watch. The gay "controversy" is probably the only story worth paying attention. I dont know, maybe I'm getting tired of this?

man, I have to disagree. I'm loving the story- despite it being completely heartbreaking. My heart aches for Rayna and Deacon. I cannot stand that Cash girl and can't believe how much she is taking advantage of Maddie and trying to live out her dreams through her. Maddie is being so manipulated. And using all of Deacons past against him was so beyond low.

I love this storyline because I can relate to it. I never wanted to be emancipated, but when I was younger I was manipulated into hating my father, and he was/is a fantastic, loving man. When you're young you'll believe a lot even if it's not tue.

Avery and Juliette- again, my heart feels for Juliette. She's changed, and the love between them is still there and always will be. But Avery is so caught up in the hurt she caused him that he can't get past that. I'm praying he will eventually come around.

Scarlett and Gunnar, love them and am so happy to see them together again.

Layla- she can leave the show. Lol. I don't like her and never have.

Bring back Sadie Stone!!

This is by far one of my favorite shows ever- next to The Walking Dead. It needs to keep going.

I am so annoyed at this show right now! I despise that evil Cash chic and her evil father. I think Thry hatched this plan to screw Maddie and get revenge on Deacon fir past wrongs. They will use her and throw her away. But she deserved it all for being a brat.

Layla remains dead weight on the show and annoying. She needs to go far far away from Avery.

Why can't they ever let poor Juliet be happy??? She deseves to be with Avery.

Twitter blew up the other night- lots of unhappy fans. The writers are tortiring the fans with nothing but misery. Enough already!

I love the show but not the direction it's going in.

Agree. I love the show but that *****y cash girl and her crazy evil dad are ruining everything. As well as Layla. It is frustrating right now.

Gosh, I couldn't agree more. I hate it when I love a show and I hate the direction of almost every story line. I also hate it when they can't let sleeping dogs lie and have to rehash the same old drama. Fans get to be happy for about half a second for Scarlet and Gunnar and then one little interview ruins it all? So stupid.

Maddie has been a brat on this show for WAY too long and I am absolutely hating Cash and her father right now. Why did they have to flip the Frankie character from Deacon's sponsor and friend to someone who wanted to get revenge on him so bad that he provoked Deacon into a fight and lied about Deacon trying to kill him? It was bad enough to have Cash be a bad influence, but to bring her Dad in to exploit Deacon's past? Then again, I am also furious with how they are writing Deacon's character. How could ANY person be so stupid as to go looking for trouble with Frankie, knowing full well it could end in a fight or just be stupid based on the fact they should be staying away from each other until court proceedings are over. And how could Rayna (or anyone) be so stupid as to threaten Cash when she is the one trying to help Maddie get emancipated? The emancipation storyline is in theory a good one and logical considering how badly Maddie wants her own independent recording career and Rayna keeps blocking it, but they have just taken aspects of it too far. I am done with Maddie being a brat. I am also done with them continuously going back and making Deacon do stupid things in fits of rage. I thought he was changing, but they keep taking his character backwards. Also, I am so tired of the back and forth with Deacon and Rayna. They have had so much drama and they finally let them get married and now it's going to fall apart because of Deacon doing something stupid again. If I was Rayna, I would be furious with Deacon too and seriously consider divorcing him, but why did they even have to go that direction at all. Why couldn't they just be happy for once and let Deacon finally learn his lesson after pulling Maddie off the stage caused her to run away in the first place. But no, he has to do something else that causes Rayna to lose Maddie for good. The only saving grace in any of this is that I think Maddie may not have realized how bad it would turn out - with the restraining order keeping her father away from her and I hope that she comes to her senses and sees how bad Cash and Frankie are for her.

I am also so done with Layla. When she fell in that pool, I really hoped they would let the character drown. That girl is a leech and needs to get it together. I think I liked her for all of about 2 minutes throughout the seasons of Nashville and I wish she would go away. Avery wanting to use her as a distraction from Juliette makes sense and I don't think he should just go right back to Juliette, because she caused him a lot of pain. Juliette is unfortunately reaping the consequences of her actions and while she has made progress, there is definitely still some of the old Juliette in her. I just get so tired of the back and forth with all of the couples on this show. Either let them be happy or hook them up with someone new and let it be.

I do agree that the storyline with Will and Luke is the only fresh storyline on the show. I also wish they would bring Sadie Stone back. I really wanted her and Luke to get together. Luke needs a woman!

Officially cancelled per the news today. :(

Heard about that last night. So bummed. I get so tired of the serious crime dramas. Nashville needed some help with the storylines to keep from rehashing the same thing over and over, but I truly loved the show. I'm going to be even more disappointed if they leave all the characters in their crappy situations on the finale. Two episodes isn't a lot of time to resolve all the stuff that's been going on.

I watched the latest episode last night. I HATE to see that Juliette was right and Layla is just manipulating Avery to get some press. She is just using his connection to Juliette to get more fame for herself. At least it looks like Glenn might be catching on. I hope he drops her like a rock. As much as I want/love Juliette and Avery together, I was glad to see her have even a small moment of happiness with Derek Hough. It happened a little fast, but I like them together ok, for now.

I was also disappointed to hear that Maddie went with Cash's advice and signed with the NY label, even with Glenn trying to give her good advice. I hope that Juliette is able to intervene and help out, somehow, in these last two episodes, or that Cash somehow shows her true colors to Maddie so Maddie can come to her senses.

While I agree that Deacon's life sucks right now, I agree with Scarlett that he needs to wake up and realize that isn't completely faultless here. Some of the blame and responsibility is his and he needs to man up and stop feeling sorry for himself and just running away from his problems instead of dealing with them. His character is being so stupid and regressing so much that I don't like him at all right now.

I was glad to see at least a brief, very small reconciliation with Will and his dad. I hope they are able to start showing some progress and acceptance for Will now and although I doubt it will happen in the next two episodes, I really wish Luke could find some happiness for himself. He's had a rough year!

Scarlett and Gunnar really need to move past this. So tired of the same back and forth with them. I like them as friend or a couple, but not with this tension over idiotic stuff.

I know there isn't a huge chance, but I really wish Nashville would be picked up by another network. You would think it would help that local government helps with the production costs.

^Since the last 2 episodes are in the can, there really won't be an opportunity bring closure most of the story lines.

I understand that the episodes are done, but with a show that's on the bubble every year like Nashville, they should have planned ahead to not leave EVERY storyline in a bad place with the finale. There were a lot of people that thought it wouldn't get a 4th season, so it's just cruel to fans if they leave everyone hanging when renewal was never guaranteed for them. I promise you I understand that filming takes place months before a show airs. I just think that shows that aren't ratings successes should always write their finales in a way that wouldn't leave fans completely dissatisfied if the show isn't renewed. Not everything can be resolved, but Nashville has done nothing but make me mad over the last few episodes. No fan wants to see all the characters miserable and that is what is going on right now.
