Officially cancelled per the news today.
Heard about that last night. So bummed. I get so tired of the serious crime dramas. Nashville needed some help with the storylines to keep from rehashing the same thing over and over, but I truly loved the show. I'm going to be even more disappointed if they leave all the characters in their crappy situations on the finale. Two episodes isn't a lot of time to resolve all the stuff that's been going on.
I watched the latest episode last night. I HATE to see that Juliette was right and Layla is just manipulating Avery to get some press. She is just using his connection to Juliette to get more fame for herself. At least it looks like Glenn might be catching on. I hope he drops her like a rock. As much as I want/love Juliette and Avery together, I was glad to see her have even a small moment of happiness with Derek Hough. It happened a little fast, but I like them together ok, for now.
I was also disappointed to hear that Maddie went with Cash's advice and signed with the NY label, even with Glenn trying to give her good advice. I hope that Juliette is able to intervene and help out, somehow, in these last two episodes, or that Cash somehow shows her true colors to Maddie so Maddie can come to her senses.
While I agree that Deacon's life sucks right now, I agree with Scarlett that he needs to wake up and realize that isn't completely faultless here. Some of the blame and responsibility is his and he needs to man up and stop feeling sorry for himself and just running away from his problems instead of dealing with them. His character is being so stupid and regressing so much that I don't like him at all right now.
I was glad to see at least a brief, very small reconciliation with Will and his dad. I hope they are able to start showing some progress and acceptance for Will now and although I doubt it will happen in the next two episodes, I really wish Luke could find some happiness for himself. He's had a rough year!
Scarlett and Gunnar really need to move past this. So tired of the same back and forth with them. I like them as friend or a couple, but not with this tension over idiotic stuff.
I know there isn't a huge chance, but I really wish Nashville would be picked up by another network. You would think it would help that local government helps with the production costs.
